Moving to Princeton

As you know Princeton is probably most known for its world-renowned Ivy League university, Princeton University.  But you would not believe the educational choices you will have not only for your children but also for yourself.    This also rings true to the surrounding towns as you can see from the NJ Department of Education School Report cards and the 2016 Rankings for NJ Public High Schools.  In addition to the fantastic public schools, there are countless private schools many of which are nationally recognized.

Public

Princeton

Public schools in the Princeton Township and Borough are part of the Princeton Regional School System.  There are four elementary schools (Pre-K-5^th) – Community Park, Johnson Park, Littlebrook and Riverside,  which feed to John Witherspoon Middle School (6^th-8^th) and later to Princeton High School (9^th-12^th).  There is also the Princeton Charter School which services K-8th grades.  It is important to note admission to the Princeton Charter School is by lottery.

Hopewell/Pennington

Hopewell Valley Regional Schools service Hopewell Township, Hopewell Borough and Pennington Borough.  There are four elementary schools (K-5^th) – Bear Tavern Elementary, Hopewell Elementary, Stony Brook Elementary, and Toll Gate Grammar which feed Timberlane Middle (6^th-8^th) and later Central High School (9^th-12^th).

Lawrenceville

Lawrence Township Public Schools service the Lawrenceville area.  There are four elementary schools (Pre-K-3^rd); Ben Franklin, Eldridge Park, Lawrenceville and Slackwood, which feed Lawrence Intermediate  School (4^th-6^th), and then Lawrence Middle (7^th-8^th) and later Lawrence High School(9^th-12^th).

Montgomery Township School District

Montgomery Township School District services the towns of Blawenburg, Harlingen, Belle Mead, Skillman, Dutchtown, Zion, and Rocky Hill Borough. There are two elementary schools Orchard Hill Elementary (Pre-K-2nd grade) and Village Elementary (3^rd – 4^th grade) which feed Montgomery Township Lower Middle (5^th-6^th) and Montgomery Township Upper Middle (7^th-8^th) and later Montgomery Township High School (9^th-12^th).

West Windsor-Plainsboro

West Windsor-Plainsboro School District services the municipalities of West Windsor & Plainsboro.  There are four elementary schools (K-3^rd) – Dutch Neck Elementary, Maurice Hawk Elementary, Town Center Elementary at Plainsboro, and Wicoff Elementary which feed either the Village School or Millstone River School (4^th-5^th).  There are two middle schools (6^th-8^th) – Community Middle School and Grover Middle School and two high schools (9^th-12^th) West Windsor Plainsboro North and West Windsor Plainsboro South.
